After being down 17 points they managed to come back. The second half was thrilling and intense and the winner was decided in the last moments of the game. Other games were a treat too.
Another 30 games promise to be exciting and thrilling. The teams are ready and willing to give their hart out on the floor and go for the title. August at 20:06 Another great day and 10 exciting games. After the group stage it is clear that Italy, Israel, Poland and Slovenia will clash head to head for the title, but it was a close call. Especially in group A where Montenegro beat team Israel in the last seconds of the game and there was a circle of three teams with one loss and three wins. Montenegro loss against Slovenia was to big of a deficit in points so they finished third in group A.
Best scorer of the tournament was Teo Vojnovikj (NMK), best rebounder was Jurica Zagoršak (CRO), assist leader and MVP of the tournament was Luka Šmitran (SLO). The tournament was a great success as both boys and girls showed their skills and gained valuable experiences. Slovenia U14 Ball Slovenia U14 Ball 14 Days of Inspiration Slovenia Ball is one of the biggest U14 tournaments with 20 international teams. This is the first international step for many future basketball stars - boys and girls. In 5 days, the kids experience many aspects of the European Championships - they represent their country for the first time, they listen national anthem, they hear public announcer present them in front of the fans with the escort of the light show.
Slovenia came third against Poland, followed by Latvia, Ukraine, Israel, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Great effort was shown by all the teams who really left their heart and soul on the floor. All tournament team was selected from five countries. Players selected were Lana Bešlić (CRO), Lea Bartelme (SLO), Dominika Ullmann (POL), Petra Toman (HUN) and Raina Tomašinska (LAT). Points leader was Raina Tomašinska (POL), rebounds leader was Arduana Delić (BIH), assists leader was Lea Bartelme (SLO) and MVP of the tournament was Lana Bešlić (CRO). The girls really did their job both on and off the floor, making this one of the best Slovenia Ball tournament ever. The situation with corona virus forced us to cancel previous 2 tournaments but this year we were determined to put it back on the map. And here it is - 16th Slovenia Ball, officialy starting on Wednesday (girls), where we will host 7 countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Israel, Poland and Slovenia.
THE GREAT FINAL 24. August at 17:07 Everything is ready for the last day of the competition. The semi-finals offered a real treat, a game between Italy and Israel, which was decided in the last seconds. Italy has lead most of the game but came out short in the closing moments of the game. Now Italy will try to get the medal against Poland who showed a good performance against Slovenia. Izrael and Slovenia will meet again in the finals and we can definitely say that it will be a close call judging by the first game which ended +2 for Israel. 5th place will be decided between Montenegro and Croatia the regional rivals will certainly give us an interesting game. 7th place will be decided between Hungary and North Macedonia, and Ukraine and Bulgaria will go off for the 9th place.

THE CHAMPION IS HERE 26. August at 17:15 What a day. The last day of the tournament was spectacular from the first game to the last.
Fans gathered in big numbers and the atmosphere was incredible. Teams did their best and represented their flag admirably. The treat of the day was the big finale in which Slovenia won against Israel in an overtime with 62: 60. Incredible comeback by the Slovenians after being down by 18 points. Unfortunately we saw an injury in the finals when one of the best players of the tournament dislocated his shoulder. Fortunately nothing was broken and we wish him a speedy and successful recovery. Italy came third followed by Poland, Croatia, Montenegro, Hungary, North Macedonia, Ukraine and Bulgaria. The best five of the tournament was Kajetan Kuczawski (POL), Jurica Zagoršak (CRO), Alberto Pellizzari (ITA), Yarin Simon Dazanashvili (ISR) and Luka Šmitran (SLO).
